In a recent interaction with Wire & Cable India, Mr. René Günther, Sales Director, WOYWOD Kunststoffmaschinen GmbH & Co. Vertriebs-KG, talked about its participation at the Wire 2024, Germany and their future goals.
Wire & Cable India: What are your key objectives for participating in Wire 2024, Germany?
René Günther: Our main objective for participating in Wire 2024 in Germany is to present our complete product range, which not only shows new developments but also proven solutions that have successfully established themselves In the market. Our focus is also on strengthening existing business relationships and tapping into new markets and partnerships. We also participate in the trade fairs to analyze market trends and consolidate our position in the wire and cable industry.
WCI: Which specific products or solutions will you be showcasing for the wire and cable industry?
RG: Our products offer reliable solutions for standardized and individual requirements of the wire and cable industry: from individual dosing units for the dosing of masterbatch and/or additives to volumetric and gravimetric “Loss-In-Weight” mixing stations to gravimetric throughput measurement and control systems with touch display or IPC. We also present volumetric dosing units with cleaning functions, which can also be configured as color change systems. From our standard range, we present robust suction hopper loaders and safe and easy-to-clean magnetic separators.

WCI: Have you introduced any new products or technologies recently? If so, please provide details and highlight their specific benefits for wire and cable manufacturers.
RG: We have expanded our product range with regard to the weighing hopper. Our newly designed and revised weighing hopper for clean and accurate processing of regrind and powder includes various sensors that are resistant to contamination and reliably detect and monitor the material flow. In addition, we offer gravimetric throughput measurement systems with a 5- or 10-inch display for easy monitoring and control of the throughput (regulation to kg/h or g/m). These new products offer wire and cable manufacturers specific benefits such as improved accuracy, efficiency, material savings and control over the production process, which ultimately leads to an increase in product quality and consistency.
WCI: What are your short-term and long-term goals for the Indian market?
RG: The Indian market, which is one of the fastest-growing markets and is increasingly focusing on higher-quality products, is one of the most interesting markets at the moment. We see a lot of potential here, as product quality will become increasingly important in the future. Our solutions specially developed for the cable industry help customers to meet these quality requirements.
Our short-term goals for the Indian market are focused on strengthening our presence and establishing our products and solutions in this growing market. In doing so, we are concentrating on customized solutions that meet the needs of the Indian wire and cable industry.
In the long term, we aim to take a leading position in the Indian market for wire and cable technology. This includes the development of an agent network, continuous innovation, and product development to meet the increasing demands of the market.
WCI: What is your USP that sets you apart from your competitors?
RG: Our unique selling point is that we respond individually to the specific wishes of our customers and offer customized solutions. Our modular principle allows us to flexibly adapt our products to the needs of our customers.
