Our customers get a one stop umbrella where they can buy all copper conductors. We have almost 25 percent exports in our product range supplying to regions like the Middle East, North America, South East Asia and parts of Europe.
WCI: Please give your insights on the trends in the electrical market.
SR: India is growing at a rapid pace and the electricity requirement is growing simultaneously. One of the biggest upcoming markets is the EV market, which is growing gradually and will soon begin manufacturing 2 and 4 wheelers EVs at a faster rate, which will require a large amount of energy. Another recent trend in the electrical industry is utilizing renewable and solar energy. Moreover, our honorable Prime Minister is aiming for zero carbon emission by 2070, which means there will be a large-scale investment in the electrical industry which will lead to growth in the industry. India will also be exporting a lot of products in the renewable energy as well as EV sector.

SR: At Vidya, we focus majorly on two sectors for CSR initiatives, which are health and education. Every year, we arrange regular CSR activities with a pre-planned CSR budget. For healthcare, Vidya provides regular and free hospital visits as well as regular check ups for all our employees. Moreover, we also provided funds to hospitals for ambulances and ventilators during COVID. On the education front, we provide free and regular education to numerous needy children.
WCI: Could you share any recent developments and future plans of Vidya?
SR: Currently, we are capable of manufacturing at a capacity of over 18,000 TPA and we aim to increase our capacity to 25,000 TPA by 2025. Additionally, as a large amount of copper goes into the renewable energy, solar and EV sectors, we have recently added copper bus bars to our product line, which are used heavily in solar products and have a huge market. We are also planning to add a few aluminum products. Therefore, we are partaking in these market trends as suppliers to these upcoming industries. Based on the market condition, we are always looking out for new products and researching on how we can update products. We are looking for new product investments in the coming times. The future looks to be bright.
