Mr. Vamsi Ramamohan Burra has assumed the charge of Director (Projects) of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
As per POWERGRID, the appointment will be for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post by Mr. Burra or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Mr. Burra is an Engineering graduate with a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. He is presently serving as OSD (Projects) in PGCIL. Mr. Burra has more than three decades of rich work experience in the power & telecom sector. He comes with distinct experience in project implementation and procurement management.
Prior to his appointment as CEO POWERGRID Teleservices Limited, he was the architect of POWERGRID’s foray into competitive bidding in transmission. He has deep insights of the Power Sector Regulatory Framework and was the founding member of Regulatory Cell in POWERGRID. He was instrumental in telecom business growth and kickstarted the works of the first data centre of POWERGRID.

Mr. Burra has also completed the Harvard Manage Mentor (HMM) Programme and undertaken courses from the prestigious Indian School of Business.
