On World Environment Day, Suzlon announced successfully reaching the milestone of 20 GW global wind energy installations. The amount of green electricity generated by Suzlon’s wind energy installations is enough to power over 13 million Indian households.

Suzlon has announced that it has become the first Indian wind energy company to cross the 20 GW wind energy installations milestone through 12,467 wind turbines installed across 17 countries spanning six continents solidifying Suzlon’s position as a significant player in the global wind energy landscape. Suzlon enjoys 33% of India’s cumulative wind energy installations. Suzlon’s 20 GW wind energy installations generate enough green electricity required to power more than 13 million Indian households.

20 GW wind energy installations have an environmental impact equivalent to preventing approximately 51.35 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually. Mr. Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group, said, “Crossing the 20 GW mark is a testament to Suzlon’s dedication and expertise in the renewable energy industry.
