SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has been awarded INR 1900 crore worth 3 solar power projects by Assam Power Development Corporation Limited. The projects will have a combined capacity of 320 MW.

SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has been awarded projects by Assam Power Development Corporation Limited (APDCL) to develop 3 solar power projects with a combined capacity of 320 MW, on a build own & operate (BOO) basis. The project order cost is estimated at INR 1,900 crore with commissioning by March 2025, after an 18-month construction period.

The 3 solar power projects shall be developed as – a 50 MW project in Dhekiajuli, a 70 MW project in Dhubri, and another 200 MW project in the state.

APDCL will sign power purchase agreements (PPAs) with SGEL for a period of 25 years to procure power from Dhekiajuli and Dhubri at a tariff rate of INR 3.92 per unit and from the 200 MW project at a tariff rate of INR 3.90 per unit.
