The acquisition of Luminous has made RR Kabel the first Indian company to take over a global enterprise in the FMEG sector.

RR Kabel, one of the leading electrical manufacturing companies and a part of RR Global, a USD 1.25 billion conglomerate, has acquired Luminous Home Electrical business from Schneider Electric. The acquisition will further strengthen RR Kabel’s consumer electricals business which has a diversified portfolio of fans, lights, and appliances. The transaction is expected to close in May 2022.
