Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has incorporated a joint venture with Rajasthan Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RVPN) for the development of Rajasthan’s intrastate power grid.

The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has incorporated a joint venture for the development of Rajasthan’s intrastate power grid.

In a stock exchange filing, PGCIL said the two-way joint venture named Rajasthan Power Grid Transmission Company Limited (RPTCL) has been incorporated with PGCIL holding 74 percent equity stake. State transmission utility Rajasthan Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RVPN) will hold the remaining 26 percent equity.

The Certificate of Incorporation (issued by the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs) was received on December 31, 2024.
