Rosendahl Nextrom has merged its customer’s needs with its own expectations and come up with a totally new line design.
Repeatability as a core value
Reproducibility was one of the top goals in order to improve the line and thus the manufacturer’s performance. This has been attained by online measurement systems on several process parameters.
Smaller product designs
The loose tube trend shows that small-sized products are more and more in demand. And smaller products require a thinner wall thickness. With a wall thickness of 0.15 to 0.3 mm, the line meets the targets with precision. Even at geared line speeds of up to 1000 m/min, the product keeps its shape and required properties.
Improved line components
The Rosendahl Nextrom crosshead with linear guiding is optimized for secondary coating lines. This works for both dry as well as for jelly-filled applications.
The improved Clenching Capstan already helps to minimize excess length of the fiber / post shrinkage of the tube during the production process. It is one of those crucial parts in the line that help you produce a storable, temperature-insensitive product at a high yield. A longer life cycle, high uptimes and easy operation support your reliability in the production process.
The enhanced loose tube line stands out from the rest due to its overall small footprint. A short cooling trough design and a new linear guiding enable the line to be no longer than 30 m. That means saving a great amount of space while still enjoying utmost performance.
Rosendahl Nextrom has also equipped the line with a fiber cutter, a rewinding mode and dual take-up for automatic reel changes.
A great benefit is also the option to monitor EFL online. This enables you to get fast feedback during production and to react immediately during the process. An offline EFL measuring system is also available.
