NTPC Partners with IOCL, ONGC and DVC for Green Energy Projects

NTPC Green Energy Limited is developing a hydrogen hub near Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh to expand the capacity of green energy. Spanning across 1200 acres of land, the new hub is going to serve the domestic requirement of the region as well as export green hydrogen-based derivatives.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) is developing a hydrogen hub near Vishakhapatnam to expand the capacity of green energy.

In addition to solar and wind energy, the project will focus on green molecules- a green hydrogen-based derivative that minimizes or eliminates the use and generation of hazardous substances to the environment such as green ammonia, green ethanol, green methanol, green urea and more.

Spanning across 1200 acres of land, the new hub is going to serve the domestic requirement of the region as well as export green hydrogen-based derivatives.

Speaking about the business prospect, Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NGEL, said, ‘‘The renewable energy company is working with several state and central PSUs like IOCL, ONGC, DVC and others for green energy projects.’’ He adds, ‘‘The company is developing an energy park at Rann of Kutch in Gujarat, along with another solar energy park in the area.’’
