Larsen & Toubro has won orders for construction of metallurgical plants and power transmission and distribution projects. The company did not specify the exact value of the contracts but as per L&T specification, a significant contract ranges between INR 1,000 crore and INR 2,500 crore..
Larsen & Toubro’s metallurgical and material handling business has received orders to construct a metallurgical plant in the domestic market, add on orders from an overseas customer and product supply orders from various customers.

The company has also bagged engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contracts to construct a 500kV transmission line in Malaysia, after it completed a similar project in the country. The proposed overhead line will facilitate power evacuation from an upcoming Combined Cycle Power Generating facility in the region.
