KEC International Ltd. has won new orders to the tune of Rs. 1,044 crore. These include turnkey transmission line orders (from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Ghana), tower supply orders (from North America and South America), additional orders for existing projects (from Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi), turnkey substations and distribution lines order (from India), Cables supply orders (from India) and turnkey orders in Water & Railway Business (from India).
Transmission Business
- The Saudi Arabia, order is for 380 kV transmission line from Qurayyat Power Plant to Future Tabarjal. The order is secured from Saudi Electricity Company. Total order value is Rs. 275 crore and the completion period is 24 months.
- The Kuwait, order is for 400 kV transmission line from Sabah Al Ahmad Substation. The order is secured from the Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity & Water. Total order value is Rs. 149 crore and the completion period is 20 months.
- The Ghana, order is for 330 kV transmission line from Volta substation in Tema to Tornu near Dzodze in the Ghana, near Togo Border. The order is secured from Volta River Authority. Total order value is Rs. 75 crore and the completion period is 20 months.
- In addition to above, the company has also secured additional orders for existing transmission line projects in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi worth Rs. 49 crore.
- The company’s wholly owned subsidiary SAE Towers has secured various orders for tower supply in North America and South America worth Rs. 90 crore.
Power Systems Business
The company has secured turnkey order for 33/11kV substations and distribution lines from Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Co. Ltd, Indore under R-APDRP Scheme. The project is scheduled to be completed by Dec 2012. Total order value is Rs. 233 crore.Other BusinessesThe Company has also secured various orders in following verticals:-
- Cables – various orders for Power and Telecom Cables worth Rs. 112 crore.
- Water – various orders for Canal construction worth Rs. 48 crore from Water Resource Department of Madhya Pradesh State Government.
- Railways – secured first Railway Siding order in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Order value is Rs. 13 crore.

Apart from this, we continue to build our strong presence in the Power System business and secured big order from Madhya Pradesh.
