KEC International Limited has successfully commissioned the first phase of the aluminium conductor plant at their Vadodara facility, entailing an investment of about INR 60 crore.
This information was shared by Mr. Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and CEO of KEC International Limited during the earnings call of Q3 FY-25 results.
He said, “As part of our efforts to diversify into high potential products, we continue to make substantial progress on multiple fronts. During the Q3 FY-25, we successfully commissioned the first phase of the aluminium conductor plant at our Vadodara facility, with the final phase on track for commissioning by the end March 2025.”

Once fully operational, the facility would generate annual revenue of around INR 600 crore. The foundation stone for phase 1 of this facility was laid in February 2024.
“The capital investment to produce E-Beam and Elastomeric cables is advancing well with production for this facility expected to commence in Q4 next year. We are confident that strategic realignment coupled with our focus on product diversification will drive significant growth, strengthening both revenue and profitability for the cables business in the years to come. This strategic capacity enhancement positions us to effectively meet the growing demand across India as well as the Middle East,” he added.
The KEC CEO & MD further revealed their ambitious plans to increase the transmission tower manufacturing capacity at its Jabalpur facility.

He said, “With a robust order book and a sustained increase in tendering activities in the transmission and distribution (T&D) segment, we initiated our debottlenecking program to enhance our manufacturing capacities at some of our plants with low investment. After successfully completing capacity expansion of our Dubai plant, we have now expanded the Jaipur plant and are currently working on increasing the capacity at our Jabalpur plant. On completion of our Jabalpur plant expansion, our total capacities will go up from 4,22,200 MTPA to 4,68,200 MTPA (including the capacities of KEC’s facilities at Nagpur, Dubai, Jaipur and Jabalpur).”
Earlier during FY24, the company had augmented its tower manufacturing capacity in Dubai from 50,000 MT to 60,000 MT.
