According to a report, JSW Group is gearing up to launch its own EV brand, signaling its intent to become a major player in India’s fast-growing EV sector.

The steel giant acquired a 35% stake in MG Motor India from SAIC, earlier this year. JSW’s planned car plant is expected to be placed in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, will be dedicated to this new EV-focussed venture.
By launching its own EV brand, JSW is set to enter a competitive market that already features Tata Motors, Mahindra, and Hyundai.

The company, however, did not provide any details about the specific models or its investment plans.
