Under the MP Power Transmission Package-II, Hitachi Energy will undertake the modernisation of over 1000 km of overhead lines across nine rural districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Hitachi Energy India Ltd. has announced that it has won a project worth INR 160 crore from MP Power Transmission Package-II. The order is intended for the modernisation of the Madhya Pradesh power transmission infrastructure.
Within the MP Power Transmission Package-II, the power transmission system, especially in the rural areas of Madhya Pradesh, will be strengthened to enhance the capacity and reliability of the power infrastructure in the state. The order was booked in the fourth quarter that ended March 31, 2022, that is, Q4 of FY21-22.

The project involving modernising nine grid connections will boost the transmission network covering more than 1000 km of overhead power lines across nine rural districts of Madhya Pradesh, as per the release shared by the company.
Furthermore, the state is swiftly moving to achieve the target of 12 GW of renewable energy generation capacity by the year 2025, which includes –utility-scale solar, wind, hybrid installations, and rooftop solar.
