HFCL Limited has been contracted by Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation to set up telecommunication systems at an order value of INR 282 crores.

HFCL Limited has been contracted by Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited to set up telecommunication systems at a compensation value of INR 282 crores. The telecommunication systems are to be set up during Phase-1 of the Surat Metro Rail Project with a support warranty of 110 weeks.

The company has to design, manufacture, supply, install, test, and commission the systems within 90 days, from the date of the contract.

Recently, on March 9, 2023, HFCL announced a partnership with Microsoft to develop private 5G solutions for enterprises to smoothly integrate new-age technologies, such as IoT, Cloud, Edge Computing, AI, and analytics. The technological support will be expanded to various sectors, such as manufacturing, retail & warehouse, mining, education, defense, railways, smart city, etc.
