The forum is constituted to bring excellence in telecom services through exchange of information about ICT services, products, raw materials, machinery and process innovations through the organization symposiums and exhibitions on cables and connectivity.
In order to bring Indian cable industry, especially, fiber optic cables, to the fore front of technology and quality, a forum was envisaged. The forum is expected to bring the entire technical expert from India and abroad on a common platform for exchange of technical information to enhance the overall upliftment of the industry, in turn making the industry more technologically sound and advance.
This thought was shared with many of the leading people from the cable manufacturing companies, telcos, raw material suppliers, machine supplier, etc. It was decided to bring on board the few key people who will assist in creating the initial shape and base for the forum. This can then enable more people to participate to eventually become a leading global platform for the exchange of state-of-the -art technologies.
Mr. Manohar Rampal (Reliance Jio), Mr. R Sridharan, CEO, Birla Cable Ltd., Mr. Sunil Upmanyu- Finolex, Mr. Venkatesan Murthy- Sterlite technologies and Mr. Mukesh Sanghvi (Indore Composite) joined together to take this initiative forward. They hope to formalize this forum in the next 3-4 months and then invite industry expert to join in large numbers to make it successful.
