Fainplast produces plastics in granular form which is a semi-finished product used in a vast number of industries. The company was founded in 1993 by Battista Faraotti and today is one of the most innovative companies in the plastics industry. This success is the result of constant attention to the customer’s needs together with a remarkable capacity to develop innovative solutions, consistent quality, high production capacity, and flexibility. With 22 compounding lines and a production capacity of almost 110.000 tons of compound annually, Fainplast dedicates a large part of its production capacity to service the cable industry with a very complete range of products.

In addition to a very complete range of PVC compounds that meet all applications of this polymer in the cable industry; the company has also developed LSZH cable compounds around twenty years ago and is one of the market leaders in this segment today. The vision of Mr. Faraotti for safer and greener products has paid back in the years making Fainplast a reference company in the development and supply of products used in newborn sectors such as the renewable energy market. Its thermoplastic and Sioplas crosslinkable LZSH compound allow customers to increase productivity, produce better cables and extend their presence on the market.

The cable market is living a long-term growth trend of all halogen-free compounds and for this reason, our company constantly invests every year in new equipment in order to increase its production capacity in this area. We see most customers are now moving towards speciality cables and are searching for innovative materials that allow them to enter into a new business without a huge investment in new equipment.

With a 55 percent share of export sales, Fainplast remains strongly focused on the expansion of its presence in the international markets and at the same time, is interested in maintaining its leading position in the domestic market. This means that the company is constantly investing a large part of its profits every year to increase its production capacity and develop more product families that can make Fainplast become a supplier at 360-degree for the cable industry.

As part of our commitment to innovation, Fainplast constantly seeks for improvement of its production plant because it is primarily a producer. The company targets higher levels of automation and increased production flexibility to improve its productivity and ability to produce more different products. We, at Fainplast, work to simplify our processes and improve efficiency while reducing the total lead-time from the customer order. We ensure to execute these processes while giving utmost consideration to the health and wellness of the people working in the company who certainly play a key role and enable us to give an added value to our products and services.

I personally think that the wire and cable industry will maintain globally a stable growth in the next decade with increasingly more interest for zero halogen cables and cables having higher technical performances and easier production methods. While the less developed markets will probably maintain a significant share of PVC cable, I expect more developed markets to keep moving towards eco-friendly solutions.
