Energy Market Authority, Singapore, has approved five Indonesian power projects to import 2 GW of low-carbon clean energy by 2027 when projects become operational.

The Energy Market Authority (EMA), Singapore, has awarded conditional approvals for five Indonesian energy projects to import 2 GW of clean energy. The operations on five projects are expected to commence in 2027.

The approved projects are owned by – a unit of PT Adaro Clean Energy Indonesia, Medco Power Global pass-through entity (PTE), Keppel Energy PTE Limited, EDP Renewables APAC, and a unit of Gurin Energy PTE Limited. These projects have a combined capacity of 11 GW of solar power and 21 GWh of battery energy storage.

EMA is targeting to import 4 GW of low-carbon electricity from neighboring countries by 2035.
