Ddev Plastiks, one of the leading polymer compounders for the cable industry in India, has recently launched WTR XLPE suitable for 72 KV, XL HFFR apt for solar application, a new range of products to meet UL specifications, and a new product line for anti-track cable insulation, which it will be showcasing at Wire 2024, Germany. In a recent interaction with Wire & Cable India, Mr. Ddev Surana, Director, Ddev Plastiks Industries Limited, talked about its participation at Wire 2024, recent developments of the company and its future plans.
Wire & Cable India: What are your key objectives for participating in Wire 2024, Germany?
Ddev Surana: Wire Dusseldorf has played a significant role in broadcasting our company to the global market. Over the years, we have consolidated our position as a key global supplier to the cable industry. This edition will further strengthen our foothold with our customers. We will be showcasing our new range of products and also get valuable inputs from our customers. Interacting with manufacturers and experts from across the globe on a common platform will not only build deep relationships but also enhance our market research and analysis. We are always keen to build partnerships for new or potential markets and collaborations for innovative technologies.
WCI: Which specific products or technologies will you be showcasing at the event?
DS: During the show, we will present our entire range of cable compounds. Our focus would be on products which serve HV needs such as WTR XLPE range. We will also present products designed to service demand for solar cable, products such as HFFR grades as well as PE based XL-FR grades. We have a new range of products to meet UL specifications and the same will also be showcased during this event.

WCI: What innovations have you incorporated into your existing product line? Share some of your recent developments.
DS: During the show, we will present some of our new features and innovations incorporated by us. Some of them are:
- WTR XLPE suitable for 72 KV: During the last show we introduced the same product suitable for 36 KV. Now with further innovations we have made it suitable for 72 KV.
- XL HFFR suitable for solar application: We have upgraded our product line with many innovations. Many of these products are undergoing testing at UL.
- A new product line which is an outcome of our R&D will be launched for Anti-Track Cable Insulation.

DS: Our goal is to expand our global reach by tapping into new geographical markets and extend our market leadership in current markets.
