According to industry statistics, in July, China exported 92,992 tons of steel rope, representing an increase of 15.35% compared to the average level of 80,615 tons during the first six month.
In January to July, China’s exports of wire rod and its finished products hit 5,919,774 tons, increasing by 31.99% over the same period of last year; while the imports of that reached 396,943 tons, an increase of 40.89% YoY. The total exports of steel wire attained at 576,683 tons up 18.22% YoY; imports reached 48,806 tons, up 14.84% YoY.
In the aspect of wire rod exports, common wire rod reached 13,624 tons, down 16.08%; hot rolled stainless steel wire rod was 73,819 tons, up 53.21%; hot rolled alloy wire rod was 5,832,330 tons, up 31.94%. As for the imports, common wire rod reached 247,411 tons, an increase of 39.97%; stainless steel wire was 25,962 tons, up 1.44%; alloy steel wire was 123,569 tons down 57.15%, all compared to the same period of last year.
In the aspect of steel wire exports, common steel wire imports reached 909,121 tons, up 10.42%; hot rolled stainless steel wire was 41,453 tons up 16.24%; hot rolled alloy steel wire was 246,805 tons, up 11.29%. As for the imports, common carbon steel wire was 48,713 tons, up 7.12%; stainless steel wire was 11,320 tons, up 6.59%; alloy steel imports amounted to 39,593 tons, up 11.54%, all compared to the same period of last year.
In the aspect of wire cable exports, stranded wire cable met 561,805 tons; other wire cable came to 14,877 tons, down 49.21%. As for the imports, stranded wire cable attained at 43,649 tons, up 13.69%; other wire cable came to 5,157 tons, up 25.62%, all compared to the same period of last year.
