The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has granted transmission licence to Khavda IV A Power Transmission Limited, a TBCB-subsidiary of Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL).
The Commission has granted a transmission licence that will remain in force for a period of 25 years, unless revoked earlier.

Khavda IV A Power Transmission Limited is developing an interstate transmission system (ISTS) scheme that is termed as “Transmission system for evacuation of power from potential renewable energy zone in Khavda area of Gujarat under Phase-IV (7 GW): Part A” on build, own, operate & transfer (BOOT) basis.
The successful bidder AESL acquired Khavda IV A Power Transmission Limited on August 30, 2024, from bid process coordinator REC Power Development & Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL).

AESL’s final quote of INR 5089.66 million emerged at the end of the e-reverse auction (e-RA), which was 29.4 percent lower than its initial price bid of INR 7207.70 million. This is indicative of aggressive bidding having taken place during the e-RA. AESL was L2 when initial price bids were opened, but ultimately emerged L1.
