Cable Tapes UK Ltd Makes Substantial Investment for Future Growth

Mark Heneghan joins the Cable Tapes team

Cable Tapes UK Ltd, the single source for all cable lapping tapes and twines, is delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Heneghan in the position of Managing Director. Mark will be working at the company headquarters based in Manchester, UK and has over 30 years experience working in senior operations management positions, within the wire and cable industry.

A Mechanical Engineering graduate, Mark began his career with BICC Cables Ltd before taking a role at Brand-Rex Ltd. More recently Mark worked at AEI Cables, part of the DUCAB Group, in the role of Operations Director at its Birtley facility.

Cable Tapes, poised for exponential growth, is currently embarking on its next stage of product and service development at its Manchester facility, with considerable financial investment in seven new additional taping machines, as well as a state of the art duplex slitting machine, cementing its commitment to providing the highest quality service to customers globally.

The sixth high speed, dual head vertical taping machine was installed and commissioned in January 2016, with a further 2 specially designed high capacity machines will be installed by the end of the 1st quarter 2016. At completion, Cable Tapes UK will have the largest and most modern installed sub-contract taping capacity in the UK, providing a fully dedicated service for the cable industry.
