A wholly owned RIL unit will invest the amount in Tower Infrastructure Trust that will own 100% of equity capital of Reliance Jio Infratel.

Canada’s asset management company, Brookfield Infrastructure Partners LP will invest Rs 25215 crore (USD 3.55 billion) in telecom tower assets of Reliance Industries.
Reliance Industrial Investments and Holdings Limited (RIIHL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), has entered into binding agreements with Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. and its institutional partners, which will invest the amount in units to be issued by the Tower Infrastructure Trust.
As reported in leading daily, after the transaction is completed, the Trust will own 100% of the equity share capital of Reliance Jio Infratel Private Ltd. (RJIPL), the unit that houses the telecom tower assets.
