As the generation is evolving its fascination with space tourism, a predictable rise in satellite services can be foreseen. In line with this anticipated trend, HUBER+SUHNER has introduced a new range of cabling solutions to jacket satellites. The new MINI250™H cable assembly is one of the most robust cables on the market presently.

As per the Allied Market Research (AMR), the global space electronics market is expected to reach USD 5.4 billion by the year 2031. Evidence of this growth is highlighted by the growing number of satellites being launched. Euroconsult says that about 1,700 satellites are going to be launched per year by 2030.

The MINI250™H, with the largest diameter in the MINIBEND family of HUBER+SUHNER, transmits antenna signals for space, aerospace, and satellite applications. Its release means that HUBER+SUHNER can outfit an entire satellite with its range of interconnectivity cabling.

While appraising the stability of MINI250™H, Senior Product Manager at HUBER+SUHNER, Mr. Raymond Miney said that, “Stable cable assemblies like the new MINI250™H are needed to ensure factors, such as temperature changes in the atmosphere, do not affect the efficiency of the connectivity needed to transmit information.”

Continuing the legacy of the original “bend-to-the-end” of its MINIBEND predecessors, the new cable range is quite flexible and can run on the outside of satellite arms and solar panel arrays, allowing tight bends without comprising connectivity strength.
