REC Limited has signed a MoU with the government of Madhya Pradesh to provide INR 21,000 crore financial assistance over the next 5 years to strengthen the state’s power sector infrastructure.

REC Limited, a public sector enterprise and a leading non-banking financial company (NBFC) under the Ministry of Power, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Madhya Pradesh to provide INR 21,000 crore financial assistance over the next five years.

The agreement was signed at the Global Investors Summit 2025 in Bhopal. The MoU aims to strengthen the state’s power sector infrastructure.
The agreement was formalised in the presence of Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) Mr. Neeraj Mandloi, Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited Mr. Avinash Lawania, and REC Limited’s Executive Director Mr. Pradeep Fellows, and Chief Project Manager (Bhopal) Mr. Satyaban Sahu, along with other senior officials.

Through this investment, significant improvement in the state’s T&D network is expected, modernizing it and promoting renewable energy integration and ensuring a reliable power supply in MP. These improvements will further aid in MP’s transition towards renewable energy solutions.
