The three projects include a transmission system for evacuation of power from the Rajasthan REZ Ph-V (Part-1: 4 GW) [Sirohi/Nagaur] complex, augmentation of transformation capacity at Banaskantha (Raghanesda) PS (GIS), and transmission system for integration of Kurnool-IV REZ – Phase-I (for 4.5 GW).

POWERGRID has received Letters of Intent (LOIs) for 3 TBCB projects worth INR 10,750 crore.
The first project is a transmission system for the evacuation of power from the Rajasthan REZ Ph-V. It comprises the augmentation of the under-construction Sirohi sub-station in Rajasthan along with 765 kV D/C transmission lines in Sirohi – Mandsaur – Khandwa in Rajasthan and MP.

The second project is ICT augmentation works at the existing sub-station Banaskantha (Raghanesda) PS (GIS) in Gujarat.
The third project is a transmission system for the integration of Kurnool-IV REZ – Phase-I (for 4.5 GW). It consists of the establishment of a new 765/400/220 kV Kurnool IV pooling sub-station and the augmentation of transformation capacity at the existing C Peta sub-station in Andhra Pradesh. The project also comprises 765 kV and 400 kV D/C transmission lines in Andhra Pradesh.

All these projects shall facilitate evacuation of power from RE generation projects.
