UltraTech Cement, an Aditya Birla Group company and a market leader in the cement industry, plans to enter the wires & cables industry by setting up an INR 1,800 crore plant in Bharuch, Gujarat.

The plant is expected to be commissioned by December 2026, with financing through internal accruals and/or borrowings.

The company is expected to generate a revenue of approximately INR 7,000 crore, with a margin of 10-12 percent.

Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group, said the company intends to expand its presence in the construction value chain through the foray in cables and wires segment, which aligns with the Group’s vision to provide comprehensive solutions to end customers in the construction sector.
