The International Copper Association has chosen Mr. Rohit Pathak, Chief Executive Officer of the Copper Business at Hindalco Industries Limited, to become a member of its Board of Directors.

This appointment demonstrates the strong leadership qualities and strategic vision of Mr. Pathak, which have significantly impacted the future of the copper industry. He is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the global copper industry strategies, emphasizing on sustainability, sector expansion and advancing best manufacturing practices.

The IIM alumnus played a key role in reshaping the copper business of Hindalco, leading to improved production capacity, enhanced environmental stewardship and operational excellence.

The influence of Mr. Pathak extends beyond Hindalco, as he actively contributes to key industry organizations. He is the President of the Indian Primary Copper Producers Association and Director of the Fertilizer Association of India. He also served as the President of the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association in the past. Earlier, he donned the leadership hat at Aditya Birla Group and McKinsey & Company.

Mr. Pathak completed his B.Tech from the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani and went on to study MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. He further enhanced his business acumen through an executive program from Harvard Business School.
