Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), in collaboration with HFCL Limited and Aerial Telecom Solutions Private Limited, has been awarded packages worth over INR 13,000 crore under the BharatNet Middle-Mile Network Project in UP. The consortium will lay 82000 km of optical fibre cable (OFC), covering 75 districts and 59280 gram panchayats in the region.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), in collaboration with HFCL Limited and Aerial Telecom Solutions Private Limited, has been awarded two key packages in UP East and West. The packages are worth over INR 13,235.57 crore under the BharatNet Middle-Mile Network Project by BSNL.

The projects cover 75 districts of UP and 59280 gram panchayats by laying 82000 km of optical fibre cable. The project is based on the Design, Built, Operate and Maintain (DBOM) model. It incorporates advanced network design, transitioning from linear to ring topology, ensuring better efficiency and reliability in the connectivity.
Pradeep Gaur, Chairman and MD of RVNL, expressed that this assignment underscores RVNL’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and enhancing rural connectivity.
