NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, to promote renewable energy initiatives in the state. The agreement was made during the “Bihar Business Connect 2024” Global Investors’ Summit held in Patna on December 20, 2024.
The MoU was exchanged by Mr. Alok Ranjan Ghosh, Director (Industries), Government of Bihar, and Mr. Bimal Gopalachari, Additional GM (Business Development), NGEL, in the presence of Bihar Industries Minister Nitish Mishra and other senior officials.

The MoU outlines a framework for significant investments in Bihar to establish renewable energy projects, including ground-mounted and floating solar installations, battery energy storage systems, and Green hydrogen mobility initiatives, etc. said NTPC Green Energy in a regulatory filing.

The state government will assist by facilitating permissions, registrations, approvals, and clearances to ensure smooth project implementation.
