The Board of Power Grid Corporation, MoP owned company, has authorized a combined investment of INR 4,071 crore to set up two transmission projects, the Krunool Wind Energy Zone/Solar Energy Zone and Eastern Region Expansion Scheme-XXIX.

Power Grid Corporation’s Board of Directors has approved an investment of approximately INR 4,071 crores to set up two transmission projects. The Krunool Wind Energy Zone/ Solar Energy Zone (AP) is estimated to cost INR 3,546.94 crore, and Eastern Region Expansion Scheme-XXIX (ERES-XXIX) is valued at INR 524.04 crore. The Kurnool project and ERES project are scheduled for commissioning by November 2024, and November 2025, respectively.
