In an interview with Wire & Cable India, Mr. Rohit Tapadia, Managing Director, Paramount Conductors Ltd. takes us through the manufacturing capabilities and product range along with its applications.
Wire & Cable India: It’s been more than five decades of business in the wire & cable industry; could you give us an overview of Paramount Conductors and the key milestones so far?
Rohit Tapadia: Paramount Conductors Ltd. was incorporated in 1966 under the leadership of Late Mr. G.K. Tapadia. Since our inception, ‘Make in India’ & import substitution has been our mantra. Initially, we commenced manufacturing machines for winding wires and then in the early 1970s, moved forward into the manufacture of winding wires and coils. In the early 1980s, we started manufacturing coil winding machines and repairing and rewinding high tension motors, generators, transformers, magnets, etc.
In 2000 and 2007, we offered technical know-how for setting up a fully-integrated winding wire and HT motor and transformer rewinding plant in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
“We have been recognised as a research and development organisation by the Government of India since 1975.”
