The merger of Kalpataru Power Transmission and JMC Projects will enable them to express their interests in large-scale EPC projects.

Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd. (KPTL) will merge its subsidiary JMC Projects with itself with the aim to benefit from a synergistic association. This will further drive efficiency, enhance financial standing, and enable the combined entity to aim and submit bidding for larger projects.
The merger will enable the combined entity to express their interest in large-scale EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) projects, according to the company. The new entity will have business interests in sectors like – T&D, railways, oil and gas, buildings and factories, water projects, as well as urban infrastructure.

Mr. Manish Mohnot, Managing Director, Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd, says that JMC Projects has considerable expertise and experience in civil engineering projects whereas KPTL has significant expertise in electrification, pipeline, and railways.
The merged entity would also be able to have a better balance sheet, he further said.
Furthermore, the company will be able to capitalise on KPTL’s larger presence overseas to speed up JMC Projects.

Speaking on the merger, Mr. Mofatraj Munot, Chairman, Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd., expresses that by bringing the two said companies together with this merger, they are able to foster a stronger platform to boost future growth, while also improving their competitive position, and bringing significant operational efficiencies.
