Nexans announced that they had held a successful training program for their channel partners at the Hyatt Regency in Mumbai. Participants, who attended the event, were able to qualify for the ‘Nexans Cabling Solutions Supervisor certification’ after succeeding in a rigorous 3-day expert training session. Mr. Alain Geypens, Training and Channel Support Manager, from Nexans Belgium flew in especially for this event to share his global experience and hold demonstrations for Nexans’ partners in India.
“The transmission quality of a cabling installation depends on the cabling system used as well as on the installation itself. No two projects are the same and our partners’ position is important in this business. Hence, it is imperative for our Distributors, VARs, Systems integrators and other channel partners to undergo rigorous training and obtain a ‘Nexans Cabling Solutions Supervisor certification’. Our training seminar in Mumbai was a huge success with more than 15 partners enrolling and it is the first of many such events that we plan to have in the near future,” says Mr. Chintak Dalal, Country Manager, Nexans Cabling Solutions.
In order to make this “level training” program possible, the training was divided into different modules which addressed different topics aimed at Installers, Project Managers, Designers, Consultants and Architects and End Users to name a few, who are involved in cabling and would like to improve their knowledge and skills in this domain. Some of the topics covered at the event were standardization and design rules for Local Area Networks, testing copper and fiber structured cabling systems, hands on training, LANmark copper and fibre systems product range, installation rules and guidelines, installation practice & testing CAT 6A/Class EA links and optical fiber systems, LANmark-7A GG45, Nexans toolkit.
Participants who successfully completed this training program were issued ‘Nexans Cabling Solutions Supervisor’ certificates. Nexans plans to extend its relationship with most of the participants by signing agreements with them in the near future.
