Ducab Group launches its first Indian and Southeast Asian office in India. The group already has a material presence in the Indian market and the office shall help it increase operations in the Southeast region.

Ducab Group launched its first Indian and Southeast Asian office in Bengaluru, India, on February 9, 2023. The office shall help the group to expand its operations and strengthen its foothold in India as well as the Southeast Asian region. The launch is among the immediate effects of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between UAE and India, enforced on May 1, 2022.

Mohammad Al Mutawa, CEO of Ducab Group, addressed the launch as a material and strategic move for the growth and expansion of the group.
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, attended the launch along with various officials from both UAE and India. He addressed the CEPA as a major catalyst for ensuring that the manufacturing capabilities and resources of both countries are utilized in the right direction.
The minister’s presence and mention of CEPA may indicate further trade partnerships and UAE companies’ offices in India.
In 1988, Ducab Group supplied cables to Nhava Sheva Port and entered the Indian market. Since then it has catered to over 100 Indian clients exporting over 1,428 kilometers of cable and 263,000 metric tons of Cu-eq (Copper equivalent). It also imports over 25 percent of its raw materials from India.

Apart from India, the group is planning expansion in 55 international markets across Asia, the Middle East, Australasia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. At home, the group signed an agreement, along with Union Pipes Industry (UPI), with Borouge to use its applications and energy to build Borouge 4.
