Nokia has entered into a frame agreement with Netherlands-headquartered Eurofiber Group, the supplier and operator of Open Network infrastructure in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Germany.
The scope of the contract includes multi-country Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) rollout, data center switching, and multiple other areas. This will further increase the reach of the Open Network.

With respect to Eurofiber France, the initial optical fibre networks are already under deployment in the south and north of France. Moreover, Nokia is also deploying a DWDM network in Germany for the Berlin-based JV Vattenfall-Eurofiber. Both Nokia and Eurofiber have agreed to renovate the nationwide DWDM network. The Eurofiber Cloud Infra unit selected SR Linux from Nokia as their switching platform.

These fibre networks will enhance and expand the more than 60,000 km of fibre network infrastructure.
