NKT has successfully completed the second repair operation this year on the important cable connection BritNed located in the sea north of the Strait of Dover connecting the UK with the Netherlands. For NKT, the repair operation turned into some creative engineering and craftmanship due to the nature of the repair requiring repair and re-configuration of the cable system on the seabed.
”I am very satisfied with the result and that we once again demonstrate how our extensive experience in repair operations and the high degree of flexibility make a difference for our client”, says Axel Barnekow Widmark, Executive Vice President and Head of Service at NKT.
